Developed specifically for ADAT users, the HHB ADAT45 employs a precision engineered cassette to ensure accurate tape handling and minimise tape pack slack, which can cause conventional tapes to break after repeated shuttling. Ultra fine cobalt ferric oxide particles are distributed with exceptional uniformity to produce an extremely smooth magnetic surface, delivering enhanced high frequency response, consistently low block error rates and an unusually high output. A special high density border ensures that the error rate stays low even after 100 passes.

All HHB DAT tapes are standard thickness with an advanced binder formulation to ensure consistently low block error rates. The precision engineered cassette shell discharges static quickly, resisting dust build-up, while a new improved design in the hub lock assembly creates a more efficient braking action, reducing tape slack when ejecting and hence providing better loading.
